Junior Office Coordinator (intern)

Looking for a talented energetic individual to use your administrative and communication skills to asset in managing the office workspace and general project workflow. This position will focus on managing the daily tasks of the studio functions and responsibilities including: project tracking, internal staffing, phone/calendar coordination, follow-ups, couriers & deliveries, ordering of office supplies, internal documentation, etc. The ideal candidate is a well-spoken, energetic, multitasker with a positive attitude. Basic oral and written skills a must. Needs to be computer literate (Mac preferable), and willing to learn new software/processes. Colossal is a fresh, upbeat design shop located in Deep Ellum near Downtown. You’ll be in a creative, fast-paced fun environment with a focus on interactive marketing and information technology. This junior position is a great opportunity for talented students to potentially transition into a full time position after graduation. If you have a solid foundation in administrative work and an interest in developing those talents to the career possibilities of Project Manager or Content Strategist, or just looking to work in a more creative atmosphere, then this is the opportunity for you. Junior Web Developer (intern)

Colossal is looking for highly motivated individuals eager to learn and develop their skill sets within the interactive space. As a junior web developer intern you’ll be responsible for supporting the site development and creating production elements for other team members. Must have a solid knowledge and understanding of basic site development technologies including Dreamweaver (as a workspace), HTML (hand coded), CSS and Adobe Photoshop. This is not a creative or designer position, but rather a entry-level opportunity towards web development. You will learn the foundation of professional site page construction which can later be matured to more complex, dynamic site development. Must have strong organization and communication skills and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment as well as independently. While you will be responsible for supporting team members in whatever way possible, you will have real responsibilities working on real projects whenever feasible. This is a great chance to build your portfolio by working on some highly visible projects. Internships are also an opportunity for talented students to potentially transition into a full time position after graduation. Colossal is seeking an eager, hard-working creative type ready to learn and nurture their interactive design skills. Responsibilities include carrying existing, established design direction to additional pages of web sites, promotional email design, social media experiences and small-turn print work. We are interested highly creative individuals who have a genuine interest in developing their passion while understanding the conditions of working in a professional environment. You will work along-side talented designers and will support their existing creative direction while introducing your talents to mature the visual design direction. Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Adobe Design Creative Suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Acrobat. And must have strong organization and communication skills and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment. You will be a member of a team with real responsibilities, working on real projects when feasible. This is a great chance to build your portfolio by working on some highly visible projects and experience the culture of a fast-paced but laid back design shop located in Deep Ellum.
